    Intro: Self-Defense, Wrestling & Weight Lifting Instructor: Mr. Shane Nelson Where: Middle School Wrestling and Weight Room When: Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 23rd - November 11th (3:30-4:30 PM) Who: Students in grades 5-8 What: Tuesdays will be focused on Self-Defense & Wrestling. No striking will be taught, however, defense, footsweeps & throws will be. Thursdays will be weightlifting after a warm up in the wrestling room. Students will have the opportunity to use the workout room at the Middle School in a structured and guided manner. The students will have workout plans to track their progress & development. This club is for beginners looking to build a better body/mind connection. Join us with a friend! Limit: 24 Students
  • Magic: The Gathering Club

    Magic: The Gathering Club Instructor- Mr. Sam Johnson Where: Room 114 When: Tuesdays Only starting September 23rd - November 11th (3:30-4:30 PM) Who: Students in grades 5-8 What: Magic: The Gathering Club (MTG Club) provides a space for playing the most popular trading card game in the world! Magic: The Gathering is a game where players craft their own decks from tens of thousands of available cards and use those decks to fight other players in games of strategy, guile, and tactics. Build your deck around a theme (like Zombies, Dragons, Vampires, or Elves) or build a deck to be as streamlined and competitive as possible to challenge your opponents and have a chance at a club tournament championship! MTG Club does not require cards to join, though, as there are several club decks available for new players (or old players looking for something different). New players can also look forward to learning the game from scratch -- no prior knowledge is required! This trimester’s club will bring a club tournament, with a prize for the winners! Dozens of students have gone from zero to hero in the past -- will you be the next? Note: This club meets only Tuesdays Limit: 30 Students
  • Pickleball Club

    Pickleball Club Instructor- Mrs. Laura Schotzko Where: Meet in Middle School Commons - We walk and to Lincoln Park to play. When: Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 16th - October 14th (3:20-4:20 PM) Who: Students in grades 5-8 What: Learn how to play one of the fastest-growing sports in America. Pickleball is a fast-paced game that people can learn quickly and can play with others of any age or ability level. We will walk to Lincoln Park to play on the outdoor courts. It's great exercise and a super way to socialize. Note: This club does not have a shuttle bus ride home. Students will need to arrange a way home from Lincoln Park. Limit: 16 Students
