  • Conservation Crew After School Club

Instructor- Mrs. Gremmels Meets- Middle School Room 224. Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Sept. 24th - Nov. 12th. Description- Grades 5-8. The Conservation Crew is looking for students who care about the environment and want to put their ideas to work around our school. We’ll work throughout the year to determine what we want our project to be, how we’re going to carry it out, completing the project, and sharing our work with the community and the conservation crew organization. It even involves a party at the end of the year! The best part is, YOU, the students, get to decide what we should focus on! Other schools have done projects like these: -created a rain garden -planted pollinator gardens -grow food plants for the community or school -grown plants in their school colors -installed signs related to local animals or plants -reduced waste in their cafeteria -started a composting site We will explore our school and figure out what we want to do as our project. We will meet about twice a month to make sure our project can come to life, and we get to share it with different groups of people. The winning schools get an extra $500 towards their projects! Leave your mark on the middle school, and contact Mrs. Gremmels (rm 224) if you have any questions!
