Thursday, December 12th, 6:30-8:30pm We will use a 16 x 20 canvas and all paint; brushes and materials will be provided to complete a painting using acrylic paint.     Babysitting, often the first job for a young person, is a chance to earn money and develop a sense of responsibility. This course will cover appropriate games and activities, telephone common sense, basic first aid, good decision-making skills, and much more. There will be take-home materials for all in class as well as some items for their babysitter bags. **Each student will need to bring a sack lunch and a doll to class

For parents and students in grades 2-4. Jefferson Elementary School (door #1) Jefferson Media Center Brown County Human Services guidelines suggest that children ages 8-10 can stay home alone for up to three hours at a time. This class for parents and their children in grades 2-4 is an introduction to staying home alone. Staying home alone for the first time is an opportunity eagerly anticipated by most kids; yet with opportunity comes responsibility. Parents and children will have the opportunity to talk with each other about questions and expectations about staying home alone. Topics include but are not limited to: developing expectations, sibling conflict, healthy choices, problem-solving, and identifying emergencies.

    Home Alone- Level 2 Instructor: Kirsten Dean Wednesday, November 27th, from 9:30am-11:00am ORFriday, April 18th from 9:30am-11:00am Fee: $25. For students in grades 4-6. Jefferson Elementary School (door #1) Jefferson Cafeteria Brown County Human Services guidelines suggest that children ages 8-10 can stay home alone for up to three hours at a time and that children ages 11-13 can stay home alone up to twelve hours. This class is for students in grades 4-6 and builds upon the parent/child level 1 class. Staying home alone for the first time is an opportunity eagerly anticipated by most kids; yet with opportunity comes responsibility. The class will cover the basics of staying home alone including but not limited to: appliance safety, responsibility, house rules, first aid, storm warnings, fire escape plans, and more. This is an interactive class where students have the opportunity to ask questions as they arise. Parents will be able to have follow-up conversations with their students by reviewing take-home materials together after class.

    Hands on fun with a multimedia project. Kids will create their own works of art using their imaginations. Very hands on and Messy fun!!! Please have your child in clothes that can get messy with paint and such.
