Mission Statement Eagles School Readiness Preschool’s philosophy is to provide a social-emotional, developmentally appropriate, high quality preschool experience in which learning takes place inside the classroom as well as outside and that social emotional development is as key to future success as academics. Our program is based on the idea that in order for all children to be successful in the classroom and with their peers, they require a firm foundation in their personal social-emotional development before future learning can take place. Each child develops at his/her own pace. Our School Readiness program fosters a child’s early learning in all developmental areas by not only providing a high quality curriculum and engaging classroom setting, but by also providing a high quality outdoor learning area featuring raised-bed gardens, a loose parts area designed to promote engineering and creativity, a giant sand area, and unlimited opportunities to learn and develop through play. Learning Opportunities We are excited to be able to offer our students our outdoor learning environment which features raised-bed gardens, a loose parts area designed to promote engineering and creativity, a stage area, a giant sandbox, and much more. • Early Childhood Screening

It is state law that every child entering kindergarten in a public school must have had a developmental screening. If children are screened in another community the results from the screenings must be submitted to the ECFE Office prior to school entrance. Parents who conscientiously object to Early Childhood Screening should contact the ECFE Office. Early Childhood Screenings are scheduled from September - March of each school year. Information will be sent out to all children between the ages of 3 years and kindergarten entrance that we do not have screening records for. This screening is free of charge. What To Expect At The Screening: Children participate in an evaluation of speech, language, fine and gross motor skills, behavioral, social and emotional development, hearing and vision, height and weight measurement, immunization recording, and a parental question and answer period. How To Arrange A Screening: Register online for the appointment that works best for your family. We will not be able to accommodate walk-ins. It is suggested that you register early to assure that you get the time which best fits into your schedule.
