In this course we will discuss how to identify plants, using phone apps such a iNaturalist, Dichotomous Keys, and other online sources, During the first part of the class, we will talk about different types of leaves, leaf arrangements, flower types, fruit types and other basic characteristics that you can use to identify plants including trees. The second part of the class we will talk about how to use iNaturalist, other phone apps, and online resources to help you identify plants and to practice identifying some trees and plants!
